Aaron Schwartz-Duval
Only months ago, in Fall of 2009, Aaron Schwartz-Duval had never been to a Science Theatre meeting. He was not familiar with the organization until a friend, Science Theatre Assistant P.R. Director Tyler Jones, mentioned it to him. Aaron was eager to get involved; he writes, "I love teaching/reinforcing new ideas/concepts to kids, whether it's science, rock climbing, or something else." He has since become one of Science Theatre's most prolific volunteers. Aaron is Science Theatre's Member of the Month for January 2010.
While he is new to the organization this year, Aaron has been a constant presence at Science Theatre performances and general body meetings in 2009-2010. He performed at Chemistry Day at Impression 5 on October 10th, Woodcreek Elementary in Lansing on December 3rd, Kinawa Middle School in Okemos on January 26th, and for a group of visiting Korean students at the MSU Union on February 2nd. Aaron brings a tremendous amount of energy and excitement to each Science Theatre show.
Aaron has nominated himself to be a candidate for Science Theatre Director and other officer positions in the February election. He would focus his efforts on developing new demonstrations to broaden Science Theatre's ability to address scientific concepts.
Aaron is a pre-medical Sophomore with a focus on biochemistry. He plans to go to medical school to be an emergency room doctor.
